The Beginning: Mark 16:15

GOoDy Music Entertainment Group began when CEO Perron Vonner decided to use his gifts of music and relationship with the Lord as a standard in the music industry. Perron, who also is a songwriter and producer, decided that he would take under his wings a group of young men and assist them in the quest of “making it big”. The group was encouraged to embrace creativity by combining the style of hip hop without the cursing and degrading of women that prevails in much of the music in today’s society. With dedication and guidance from Perron and the assistance of VonGantt Production Company, the first single was complete and ready for distribution.

At this point, CEO Perron Vonner decided to bring his brother Eric Vonner and his wife Shivella to the team to handle the marketing aspect of the business. Maria Vonner, Perron’s wife, was already in place handling all of the administrative responsibilities as well as the group’s fashion and look. With the new roster in place, GOoDy was ready to take the world by storm. Each member brought a unique and needed gift to the team. The most important thing was that each member had a relationship with God.

The goal of GOoDy’s team was to use their gifts to create a company that would be a standard in the industry.

As weeks passed, GoOdy Music began to reap the rewards of their labor. Their artist begun to perform at many venues throughout Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino and Orange Counties, even receiving local and overseas radio play. GOoDy had even managed to pick up a female artist. Even though things looked like they where going as planned, something was sneaking into the back door. How many of you know that the tricks of the enemy (Satan) are very subtle?

The standard that GOoDy’s team desired to set and maintained had began to be overpowered by the desire to “make it.” The artist and The GOoDy Staff began to perform and show up at more venues that were somewhat questionable for people of God to attend. The same Godly principles that GOoDy was attempting to mentor these young artist on, were the same principles that the company had began failing to LIVE BY. GOoDy was at a point of compromise.

The Choice: Mark 10:21

As Goody began to reassess the direction the business was going, some very tough decisions had to be made. Perron had spent endless hours as well as money on these artists. He had seen them grow and develop as artists. The transformation created a bond; they were his “first born”. The team met to discuss the vision of the company and to determine if they were headed in the right direction. Each member of the GOoDy Staff admitted and agreed that as individuals as well as a team, they were out of the will of God. We decided to choose God’s will regardless of the loss it caused.

With the team now on the same page, contracts were drawn and presented to the artist. To allow them to continue on with GOoDy in the new direction by staying in their current contract; with all of the added services, but converting to gospel only, or be released from their contracts, being able to use the material that GOoDy had done with them. Their choice was to terminate the relationship. It was hard to walk away from all the hard work and financial investments. GOoDy was saddened not only at the loss of an artist, but also the loss of the relationship with the young men and women because they had become family. GMEG wishes them well and will continue to keep them in our prayers.

New beginnings: Matthew 6:33

Now that GOoDy is fully focused and alert to the traps of the enemy, we are dedicated to full submission to the will of God. Perron is now completing his album and is releasing his debut single and video. The new group TS, who you can check out by clicking here is ready to begin their ministry.

The biggest lesson that we’ve learned as a company is that you have to stick to the mission of the company. Nothing is worth the sacrifice of your relationship with God. Fame and fortune can never compare with being at peace with God. Everything works better with God in the midst of it all.

Please, understand that Satan was the angel of music before he was cast down from heaven. He is an expert in music. This is why there is so much perversion and power of influence in the music industry. Music affects your mood and even your thoughts; music is a powerful tool in the spiritual realm. GOoDy is now on a mission to use this tool to minister to the souls of people and most importantly, glorify God.
